PR

After finishing her BA degree in European Studies at the University of Passau, Konstanze Jüngling (25) is taking part in the Masters program “Peace Studies and International Politics" in Tübingen. She enriches the NMUN-team with intercultural competence acquired during her interships. Konstanze gathered editorial experience at the German newspaper in Russia and worked with “exilio”, an organisation that provides help for migrants, refugees and survivors of torture. Her work for various regional and national newspapers taught her how to work effectively and productively under time pressure. In New York she will stand up for Saudi-Arabia in the General Assembly’s Third Committee.

Lena Prötzel

Komitee: GA 3rd
Orga-Team:Party

Her job as a tutor for German language gives history student Lena Prötzel (22) a great deal of insight into the life stories of the refugees and migrants she teaches. Having heard first-hand about the effects of conflicts and wars on these peoples’ situations, she hopes to gain more understanding about the real process of international negotiations. Her special interest is directed towards the General Assembly’s Third Committee, which deals with social, cultural and humanitarian issues.

Lisa Weiss
Lisa Weiss
Komitee: GA 1st
Orga-Team:TMUN

Lisa Weiss (24) is studying the Masters program “Peace studies and international politics” and is convinced that global problems require international solutions. The complexity of international negotiations between conflicting interests and traditions can be understood better when you get special insight – like in a UN-simulation. In New York, Lisa will represent Saudi Arabia in the First Committee of the General Assembly and will thus have the opportunity to design international relations herself. Her internships in the German and European Parliaments as well as her extensive experience abroad will surely prove to be useful.

Orga-Team:Fundraising/ Brochure

Maria Fenger Jensen (28) studied her Bachelor's in her home-country Denmark and is currently doing her Master's in international economics in Tübingen. Maria thinks that the activities of the United Nations are not shaping the behavior of states and influencing world politics. That is why she wishes to work for the UN after completing her studies. Besides being fluent in five languages, Maria also gathered relevant experience through her study-year in the United States and travel abroad. In New York she will represent Saudi Arabia in the World Trade Organisation.
