Become a Delegate

Since 1997, students of the University of Tübingen have participated in NMUN. The academic diversity has become a trademark of Tübigen Delegations. Students from all departments of the University can join the delegation. In fact, the mix of medical students, economists, historians and political scientists has proven extremely fruitful - not to mention the many international students from countries including Uganda, Cyprus, France or the UK (to name a few) that joined the Tübingen Delegation.

If you also want to travel to New York as a Tübingen Delegate and see what it's like to be a diplomat (at least for a week): do it! NMUN is a tremendous opportunity and a truly unique experience.

In order to join the delegation, you have to attend the seminar "The UN System - Politics and Policies", which is being offered every winter semester at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Tübingen. In addition, you will have to attend a series of workshop sessions that take place weekly and will familiarize you with the rules of procedures of the UN, speech training and resolution writing.

In addition, you should speak English well, have a profound interest for international politics, be able to work in a team and possess a high degree of motivation. Furthermore, on top of the seminar and the weekly workshop sessions (2+2 hours), you should be willing to invest at least six hours weekly and ca. three weekend-long compact phases.
